Comparison
FamiSafe vs Quiles.

Where FamiSafe is genuinely better.
Dishonest not to name it:
- Breadth of features. If your demands include driving safety, continuous location, web filter with categories, and suspicious-photo detection, FamiSafe does all of it.
- Multi-platform. Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Kindle. Quiles is Android-only.
- iOS Screen Time integration for Apple device management without Family Sharing being broken.
- 24/7 support via web chat. Quiles is email only.
- Keyword detection in chats for parents who prefer that model.
Where Quiles is structurally better.
- Privacy by code. FamiSafe uploads everything to its servers; Quiles never generates that traffic. GDPR applies very differently to each model.
- Free, not a subscription. Quiles Familia is free, no purchase and no per-year fee, vs FamiSafe's ~$70/year. Over 4 years that is €0 vs ~$280. (Quiles Mayor, our optional elder plan, is the only paid product at €59/year.)
- Brand of restraint. We have a public page listing what we don't do. FamiSafe accumulates features; Quiles drops them deliberately.
- No message reading. Your DMs are yours; your child's should be too.
- Family product, not enterprise. FamiSafe feels like enterprise software adapted to families; Quiles is built for the dinner table.
Switching from FamiSafe to Quiles.
- On the child's phone: Settings → Apps → FamiSafe → Deactivate device admin → Uninstall.
- Buy Quiles. Email arrives.
- Install Quiles Parent + Tutor. Pair via QR.
- Reconfigure blocks + allowed apps. ~10 minutes.
The switch means losing some features (driving safety, web filter, continuous location). If one of those was critical to you, FamiSafe was still the right call. Quiles is for parents who saw those features as overhead.
