Where Qustodio is genuinely better.

It would be dishonest not to say so. Qustodio does things Quiles doesn't and won't soon:

  • Deep web filtering with category lists (porn, violence, gambling, etc.). If you want to block specific websites in your child's browser, Qustodio does it and Quiles doesn't.
  • Continuous family location on a map, in real time. Quiles can't do this honestly, our model doesn't allow continuous GPS without contradicting itself.
  • Multi-OS coverage. iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, macOS, Chromebook. Quiles is Android-only today.
  • Multi-channel support. Web chat, email, phone. Quiles is email only.

Where Quiles is structurally better.

  • Privacy by architecture. Quiles doesn't process child data on servers because it never receives that data. Qustodio does, and the difference isn't "promise" but "code".
  • Price. Quiles Familia is free, no purchase, no subscription, no per-child fee, updates included. Qustodio runs ~$55/year for as long as you use it; ~$220 over 4 years. The contrast isn't "cheaper", it's free-and-private vs paid-and-cloud.
  • Brand of restraint. We have a public page listing everything we don't do. That discipline has a cost.
  • No user account. Your child doesn't need to create a Qustodio account (or a Google account, for that matter). No digital footprint.

Switching from Qustodio to Quiles.

  1. On the child's phone: Settings → Apps → Qustodio → Deactivate device admin → Uninstall.
  2. Reinstall the default launcher if Qustodio replaced it.
  3. Download Quiles (free) at quiles.app.
  4. Install Quiles Parent on YOUR phone + Quiles Tutor on the child's. Pair via QR.
  5. Reconfigure rules. ~10 minutes.

The day you switch, your child notices: Quiles isn't reading what they write. That's usually the conversation that opens up the trust.
